Innovation & Workflow Efficiency
"Technology shouldn't replace the designer, it should remove the friction from the process."
I believe the best design workflows allow the team to focus on creativity and detailing, not repetitive data entry. My interest in coding is strictly focused on practical application building tools that save time and reduce errors.
1. Computational Quality Assurance (Revit & Dynamo)
I use Dynamo scripting to handle the "heavy lifting" of model management.
The Goal: Automate mundane tasks like sheet renumbering, room tagging, and bulk revisions.
The Business Value: This reduces non-billable hours spent on administration and ensures model hygiene is maintained without manual checking.
2. R&D: The "Local" Knowledge Base
I am currently developing a self-hosted RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) system to make construction standards instantly searchable.
The Problem: Designers lose valuable time searching through PDFs for specific clauses in the NCC or Australian Standards.
The Solution: A "Local Assistant" that operates like ChatGPT but is trained specifically on our internal library.
Data Security: Crucially, this system is self-hosted. No client data or intellectual property is ever sent to the cloud, ensuring total privacy and compliance.
